If you could not join us at the cultural festival this past weekend, you missed a truly fantastic celebration! The event was a beautiful showcase of the different cultures that enrich our community. It highlighted the collaborative spirit that makes SCPS such a special place.
Every day, our school community is filled with moments that remind us of the dedication and heart of our educators and staff. From events like this festival to the daily commitment in the classroom, each of you plays a crucial role in fostering an environment where every student feels valued and seen. Your hard work, creativity, and compassion make these moments of connection and celebration possible, and your willingness to go above and beyond is noticed and deeply appreciated.
As we head into the rest of the year, let's keep this energy alive. Know that your efforts make a lasting impact, not just in students' academics but in shaping their understanding of community, empathy, and belonging. Thank you for everything you do daily to inspire and uplift our students. Let's continue working together to make every moment as memorable as this one.
Keep shining brightly; you are truly making a difference!
Check out some of the learning that is happening in our district.
Collins High School students in the PLTW Bio-Medical Science Pathway recently visited the NKU Cadaver Lab with teachers Ms. Karen McPherson, Mr. Brent Kidwell, and Ms. Kacie Gaekle. During this visit, they were guided through an interactive, hands-on exploration of the anatomy of the human body. They networked with current pre-med students, Emergency Room Physician, Dr. Jennifer Massoud, and Dr. Anthony-J. Avenido, M.D. , NKU's Professor/Human Pathophysiology Coordinator.
Our inspired leaderships comes in many forms in Shelby County Public Schools.
Inspired activities and community engagement enhance our learning and leadership across the district.
The Inaugural Cultural Fest was this weekend at the SC Fairgrounds. It was a beautiful day and many people came out to celebrate with us!
